A Guide to the music of Queen
HOME
This site contains a guide to the discography and concertography of the UK rock and pop band Queen. For simplicity, I have taken a chronological approach to the music, examining the songs - including B-sides, demos, and unreleased tracks - in relation to the Queen album releases.
The main business of the site is the album by album guide, going from "Queen Forever" in 2014 back to the beginning with "Queen" in 1973.
There is a complete concertography on the "Queen Live" page, giving dates and venues for every Queen concert from 1970 onwards. The concerts are grouped by the names of each tour (and/or latest album).
There is an interesting article that tries to trace the footseps of Freddie Mercury in the north of England, particularly in St Helens, Widnes, and Liverpool.
There is a tribute to Freddie Mercury on the 30th anniversary of his death in 2022.
And there are a couple of fun pages which attempt to identify the greatest fifty Queen songs and rank the Queen albums from the least outstandingly brilliant to the most outstandingly brilliant. It's semi-serious good fun. And an excuse to talk about our favourite band.
Dive in, have a read, and send me a line of thanks and praise on the Contact Me page if you feel so inclined.
